Zechariah Jonathan King, 20, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on May 12, 2025. He was born on April 15, 2005, in Cheyenne,Wyoming to Ashley Ahrens and Kadesh King. A proud graduate of Central High School’s Class of 2023, Zechariah began his career working alongside his family at Blue Thunder Pluming and Drain.
Zechariah was a devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, boyfriend, and friend. He cherished his family above all else, especially his siblings—Isiaha, Teiara, Amiyah, Oriannah, Kadey, and Tina—with whom he shared a deep, unbreakable bond. His love and support were unwavering, and to be loved by Zechariah was to feel safe, seen, and never alone.
Athletic, energetic, and full of life, Zechariah was passionate about sports—both as a competitor and a fan. He was a huge fan of Denver Nuggets and the Denver Broncos. He also loved the outdoors and spent countless hours hunting, fishing, and snowboarding—activities that brought him peace and joy.
Off the field and away from the wild, Zechariah greeted the world with a warm smile and an open heart. His kindness, generosity, and compassion left a lasting impact on everyone he met. He lived with purpose and treated others with extraordinary gentleness and care.
Though his time with us was far too short, the light Zechariah brought into the lives of those who knew him will never fade. He is survived by his loving parents, Ashley (Orin) and Kadesh (Crystal); his siblings; his girlfriend, Zara Dingus; his grandparents; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory forward.
A viewing will be held on May 22, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on May 23, 2025, at Beacon Hill Cheyenne, where we will honor and celebrate the beautiful life of a young man who meant so much to so many.
Though we mourn his loss, we also give thanks—for the joy he brought, the love he gave, and the memories that will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace, sweet Zechariah. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
