Zachary Martin Muñoz

Zachary Martin Muñoz, 35, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a loving family and countless friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Zach was born on December 4, 1990, and was raised surrounded by the love of his family. He was the son of Rick and Marie Muñoz and a brother to Rick Jr., Manuel, and Matt. Above all, he was a proud father to his three children, Adalyn, Aryah, and Zayden, who were among the most important people in his life.

Zach had a personality that was uniquely his own. He possessed a natural sense of humor and an unmistakable ability to make people laugh, often when they least expected it. He could bring lightness to a moment with a joke, a comment, or simply by being himself. His smile was one of the things people will remember most about him—a genuine smile that could brighten a room and was unmistakably Zach.

Zach was a devoted San Francisco 49ers fan and loved watching his team whenever he could. He also enjoyed playing billiards and pool, where he could spend hours enjoying the competition, the conversation, and, most importantly, the company of the people around him.

Above all, Zach was family. He was part of a proud Muñoz family whose bond runs deep. Family meant gatherings, stories, laughter, teasing, shared memories, and simply being together. Those moments, both big and small, will now become even more precious to the people who loved him.

He is survived by his father, Rick Muñoz; his mother, Marie Muñoz; his brothers, Rick Jr., Manuel, and Matt; and his beloved children, daughters Adalyn and Aryah, and son Zayden. He is also survived by his grandparents, Richard and Irene Paiz, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

Though Zach’s life ended far too soon, the memories he gave to those who knew him will remain. His jokes, his laughter, his love of the 49ers, the games of pool, the stories shared with family and friends, and especially that unmistakable smile will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.  

The Muñoz family is a family that takes pride in where they come from and, above all, in the people they call their own. Zach was—and always will be—one of us. His place in this family cannot be replaced, and his memory will continue to be carried forward through his children, his brothers, his parents, his grandparents, his extended family, and the countless friends whose lives he touched.

He will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten. He will forever remain a beloved son, brother, father, grandson, cousin, nephew, friend, and a cherished member of the Muñoz family. His life was far too short, but the memories, laughter, and love he left behind will last forever.

Funeral visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, 1900 E 19th St., Cheyenne, Wyoming 82001.  Vigil for the Deceased will follow from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the chapel. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 603 House Avenue, Cheyenne, Wyoming 82007. Family and friends are invited to gather together to honor Zach, celebrate his life, and surround his loved ones with the same love and support that has always been at the heart of the Muñoz family.
