Verlee Ann Allen

July 5, 1938 — June 28, 2025

Cheyenne, Wyoming

Verlee Ann Allen, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away at home surrounded by family on June 28, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at the age of 86. Born on July 5, 1938, in Des Moines, Iowa, Verlee was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and love to all who knew her.

Verlee devoted her life to her family, embracing the role of homemaker and serving as the foundation upon which her loved ones could build their lives. Her greatest pride was found in the strength of the family she nurtured. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Norman Allen. Their partnership was a beautiful union that lasted 51 years until Norman's passing, leaving an indelible mark of love that Verlee carried with her throughout her life.

Although Verlee completed her education at the 11th grade, her wisdom and understanding of life were profound. She was a woman of many interests; she found joy in spending, gambling, and shopping, each activity reflecting her zest for life and desire to enjoy it to the fullest.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Lori Maley, and her adoring grandson, Timothy Maley, who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Verlee is also survived by her dear sisters, Sondra Occhipini, Margaret Winn, and Pat Wymer, who will miss her warmth and laughter deeply.

In addition to her living family, Verlee is reunited with her beloved husband, Norman Allen, and her parents, Verle Roush and Gretchen Roush (Warren). The love and memories they shared will forever echo in the hearts of those left behind.

Verlee's kind and generous spirit touched the lives of many, and her legacy of love will continue to shine brightly through her family. As we remember Verlee Ann Allen, we honor a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever be etched in our hearts.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude for the support Caring Edge Hospice provided.
