Vashti Jean Vance (Ballard)

Vashti Jean (Ballard) Vance died June 24, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming at the age of 87.

She was born February 5,1938, in Wheatland, Wyoming to Mary and Vic Ballard. Vashti grew up on the family ranch in the Laramie Peak area where her parents homesteaded. After graduating from Wheatland High School, she moved to Denver to attend business college. After graduating, Vashti started her career in Cheyenne at Wyoming Game and Fish and then went on to work for several accounting firms. She enjoyed anything outdoors, and she loved working in her garden. Vashti is survived by her two sons, Dan (Amy) Hassinger and Wayne (Stacie) Hassinger as well as three grandchildren (Hannah, Wendi, and Hayden), and three great-grandchildren (Jordan, Leela and Aiden).

Vashti was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Private family services will be held.
