Thomas “Tom" Charles Reynolds, 79, passed peacefully, with family by his side, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center on January 2, 2026.
He was born in Carthage, Missouri on November 8, 1946 to Wayne and Helen Reynolds. As a military child, he and his family moved to Panama; Reno, Nevada; Grand Forks, North Dakota; and finally Cheyenne, Wyoming where he graduated from East High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna Durako, brother-in-law George Durako, sister-in-law Jeanne Reynolds, and great-great nephew Hunter Durako.
He is survived by his two younger brothers, Ron and Larry Reynolds, sister-in-law Editha Reynolds, several nephews, nieces, their families, and wonderful friends at his Whispering Chase independent living community.
A proud veteran with over 20 years in the United States Air Force, in Communications, Tom was passionate about traveling, immersing himself into new cultures, and learning new languages. While on active duty he loved living in Germany and especially Italy, where he spent several years, at two different bases, and became fluent in Italian.
After retiring from the Air Force he lived in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where he worked for Radio Shack, eventually becoming a manager. He later spent years of his retired life in Salisbury, North Carolina near his brother Ron and sister-in-law Jeanne, where he worked in the electronics department at Walmart. He was well read; often working on a puzzle; savored a glass of wine; liked watching and collecting movies; filled time tinkering with electronic gadgets; and was into Hi Fi Audio as a hobby.
Eventually he moved to Littleton, Colorado, along with Ron and Jeanne, where he stayed with his nephew Greg Reynolds and his wife Ae for a year before settling in Cheyenne for his last seven years. Tom was beloved by family and friends for his gentlemanly warmth, witty banter, calm presence, and his thoughtful, generous nature.
