Thomas Edward Power, a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many, was born on October 31, 1945, in Beacon, New York. He passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, leaving behind a legacy of knowledge, friendship, and unwavering loyalty.

Tom earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Boston College, marking the beginning of a distinguished career characterized by a wide range of international experiences. He served as a legislative aide to both the Governor and the Speaker of the House in the State of Massachusetts, showcasing his dedication to public service and governance.

In addition to his work in Massachusetts, Tom held the position of resident advisor for the Harvard Institute for International Development at the Kennedy School of Government in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His passion for teaching led him around the globe, where he worked in developing countries to educate others on creating, managing, and administering pension and insurance systems. This career path was a perfect fit for Tom, whose ever-curious spirit and enthusiasm for different cultures enabled him to forge deep connections, especially in Indonesia and Egypt.

Tom will be fondly remembered for his breadth of knowledge, quick wit, wisdom, and above all, his fierce loyalty to family and friends. His kindness and perspective enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his brother, Richard D. Power of Savannah, Georgia; sisters, Suzanne Wilcox of Vero Beach, Florida, and Maryann Sidebotham of Amherst, New Hampshire; as well as seven nieces and nephews and six grandnieces and grandnephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne Neale Power, who passed away in 2021. Though his physical presence is no longer with us, the impact he made and the memories he created will forever remain in the hearts of those he loved and inspired.
