Sylvester “Teber” Penaflor 81, entered heaven on September 21, 2025, suddenly at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. He was surround by his family that adored him. Teber was born November 12, 1943 in Gilcrest, Colorado to Rufus and Eliza Penaflor, the second of twins. He met the love of his life Connie in 1964 and during their life long marriage, they had four beautiful children. He worked as a cement mason up to 2024, when his family said “it’s time to stop” but he was devoted to his work. He was the rock of our family, a loving man who raised his family with wisdom, patience, and devotion. His love and guidance shaped our lives, and his legacy will live on through the stories, laughter, and memories. As a father, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, his impact was profound. He cheered on his beloved Broncos, enjoyed peaceful moments of fishing, and shared his wisdom with those around him. But most of all, his greatest joy was his family. He poured his heart and soul into raising his grandchildren and great grandchildren teaching them valuable life lessons, and showering them with love. His selflessness, kindness, and generosity will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and loved ones, and his legacy will continue to inspire generations to come. Teber is proceeded in death by (parents) Rufus and Eliza Penaflor (sisters) Bernice Penaflor, Angie Penaflor, Charlotte Scott, and twin brother Nicholas Penaflor, grandchildren Isaias and Baylee. Teber is survived by children, Theresa Penaflor, Vincent (Vicky)Penaflor, Gerald (Christina) Penaflor, & Sabrina Penaflor, Grandchildren Brianne Clark, Braxton Clark(Johnna), Devyn Penaflor(Fabian), Marissa Penaflor(Dakota), Amber Sena, Alyssa Durga(Joshua), Mike Sena, Joe Sena, Gerald Penaflor Jr (Rhiannon), Makenzy Penaflor, Lorenzo Penaflor, Jacob Trujillo(Adela), Gabryana Penaflor, Phaidra Penaflor, 16 Great-grand children & 1 Great- great grandchild. A vigil and rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 29. 2025 at St. Mary’s Cathedral. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
