Susan Ann Stief

Susan Ann Stief, 66, of Burns, Wyoming died February 23, 2026, at home surrounded by love. Susan was born September 16th, 1959, in Jerome, Idaho to Fred and Patricia Hainline. Susan graduated from Bliss High School, Bliss, Idaho and attended college at College of Southern Idaho.

Susan married Michael Stief on June 25th, 1983, and together they welcomed a daughter, Kendall on November 5, 1986.

Susan worked several jobs early in their marriage including banks, County Courts, and mortgage companies. Then in 2000, Susan partnered with Michael in their painting business where they worked side by side until her retirement in 2020.

Susan loved her animals, cats, dogs and horses. She also loved her flower gardens, being outdoors, and driving her classic cars (especially her 1967 Mustang). She loved her family and friends just as deeply.

She is survived by her husband Michael; daughter Kendall; brothers Steven Hainline (Yvonne) and Jay Hainline (Mary); sister Barbara Stanger (Brad); numerous nieces and nephews; and her Aunt Erma Scheer.

Susan was proceeded in death by grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Scheer, and Harold and Viola Hainline; and parents Fred and Patricia Hainline.
