Steven Lee Bellis, of Cheyenne, WY passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 31, 1956. Steve attended East High School and graduated with the class of 1974. He worked as a fireman for the City of Cheyenne and retired after 27 years of service.

He was an avid outdoors man. He loved hunting, fishing and guided many hunters over the years. His true love was ice fishing, and he won several trophies while competing in tournaments. He also loved going to tractor pulls and riding motorcycles and 4 wheelers

Steve was a steady presence in his family’s lives and never hesitated to help others.

He is survived by his dog Scout, his mother Melita Bellis, his daughters Trina Kay Relph (RC) of Lake Forest, CA. Jennifer Dominguez, TX, Stephanie Bellis (Mike Bechtle), his sister Linda Thyarks (Barney).7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Clyde and Ethel Cooper, his dad James Bellis and his brother Keith Bellis, his grandson Zane Bellis, and his niece Stacey Thyarks, his Uncle Bill Cooper, Sandy, Utah.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on February 28, 2026, at the American Legion Post 6, 2001 E. Lincolnway from 3-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation at RMEF.org or a charity of choice.
