Roy Leslie Stewart Sr., a dedicated civil servant and proud veteran who served in the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, and Seabees, passed away on June 7, 2026, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was born on August 13, 1935, in Madelia, Minnesota, and lived a life defined by service to his country, devotion to his family, and commitment to his community.

Throughout his career, Roy devoted himself to public service, earning the respect of colleagues and friends through his integrity, strong work ethic, and unwavering sense of duty. Among his proudest accomplishments was his military service, which spanned multiple branches and reflected his deep patriotism and dedication to the nation he loved.

In addition to his civil service career, Roy spent many years as a truck driver and was an avid bowler who enjoyed both the competition and camaraderie the sport provided. He was also a devoted member of the Loyal Order of Moose. While serving as Governor of the Moose Lodge, Roy received the organization's highest honor, the Pilgrim Degree of Merit, awarded by the Supreme Lodge of the Loyal Order of Moose in recognition of his outstanding service and dedication.

Roy is survived by his three children, Linda Parker, Christy Williams, and Roy Stewart Jr. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, all of whom will cherish his memory and carry forward the values he embodied throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John Stewart and Iola Rademaker (Foley); his sisters, Josephine Fontaine-Mausling and Jeanette Fontaine; his brothers, Henry Stewart, Glen Stewart, and William Stewart; his sons, Michael Stewart and Timothy Stewart; and his former wife, Betty Stewart.

A funeral service celebrating Roy's life will be held on June 15, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, 1900 E. 19th Street, Cheyenne, Wyoming. Following the service, Roy will be honored with military rites and laid to rest at the National Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Moose Lodge, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life and legacy of a man who touched so many lives.

Roy Leslie Stewart Sr. will be remembered for his quiet strength, steadfast service, generous spirit, and deep love for his family. His legacy of dedication, honor, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
