Ronald 'Ron' Eugene Field

Ronald “Ron” Field, a beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at his home on October 10, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on December 4th, 1944 in Saint Paul, MN, Ron lived a life full of hunting adventures and lots of memories.

Ron was the son of George and Ellen Field, and younger brother to Duane. George instilled the love of hunting into Ron and they had many hunting adventures well into George’s 80s. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, brother and loyal friend and companion RD. 

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Phyllis Field and his extended family of sisters in law, Kathy (Joe) White, Rebecca Malott, Patsy Wrede and brother in law Greg (Nancy) Wrede. Ron also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a close knit group of hunting friends whom he considered family.

Ron served in the Navy for four years after serving he became a systems programmer working in both MN and CO retiring from Banner Hospital in Greeley, but if you knew Ron you knew that his passion was goose hunting. He spent countless hours with nature and with friends who shared his passion, this brought Ron immense joy.

Ron’s life was the testament of friendship and love that was seen up until his passing. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him, but he will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
