Ronald LeRoy Martin, a beloved member of the Cheyenne community, passed away on May 30, 2025, at the age of 62 in his hometown of Cheyenne, Wyoming. Born on July 21, 1962, Ronald was a source of joy and laughter for all who knew him. He is survived by his devoted mother, Donna Martin; his sister, Bobbie Martin, his brothers, L. Glenn Martin and Roger (Jo Beth) Martin; his dear aunt, Mary Lou Marcum; and multiple nieces and nephews who cherished his playful spirit.
Ronald's life was distinguished by dedicated service and a passion for helping others. He proudly served in the Air Force, achieving the rank of TSGT before retiring. Following his military service, he pursued a career in nursing, providing compassionate care as a registered nurse at the Cheyenne VA Hospital. His commitment to service extended beyond his professional life, as he was an active member of both AMVETS and VFW, reflecting his pride in serving his country and supporting fellow veterans.
Educationally, Ronald graduated from Burns High School in 1980 and anticipated advancing his knowledge further by working towards his master's degree. He was not only a dedicated student but also a talented individual, known for his remarkable skills in woodworking and fishing. He had a particular fondness for tying flies, combining his love for nature with his craftsmanship.
Known affectionately as the "clown" of his family, Ronald possessed a unique sense of humor that brought light and laughter into numerous gatherings. His playful personality left an indelible mark on the hearts of his family and friends, who continue to remember him with fondness.
Ronald LeRoy Martin’s interment will take place at the Cheyenne National Cemetery, 8611 Hildreth Rd. on June 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM where family and friends are invited to honor his memory and celebrate a life well lived.
As his loved ones gather to remember him, they carry forward the laughter, service, and dedication that defined Ronald's remarkable life. He will be deeply missed but forever treasured in their hearts.
