Ronald J. Chubb, 83, of Cheyenne, WY passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026. He was born on November 22, 1942 in Kansas City, KS to Cecil C. Chubb and Rose Anderlic. Ron attended Wyndott High School, Kansas City, KS where he excelled in football graduating in the class of 1961. He joined the United States Air Force in 1961 and was stationed at F.E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne. He deployed to Goosebay, Labrador in 1964 for 12 months and was honorably discharged in 1965. Shortly after his military service he began a career with the state of WY as a certified appraiser for over 30 years. He traveled the state of WY and could tell you any route to see the best sites and where to find the best hamburger. Ronald married Donna Dearcorn on April 4, 1964 in Cheyenne where they lived for 61 years and had 3 daughters. Ron was a proud member of the Cheyenne Trap Club, the Moose, and Harley owners group. These groups were a direct reflection of his heart for people and community. He never met a stranger and was born with the gift of gab. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Rose, his sister Judy McLean and his daughter Emi Gregg. Those left to cherish Ron’s life are his wife of 61 years Donna Chubb, his daughters Mollie Wright (Danny) and Kathleen Beightol (Dave), his grandchildren Aaron Gregg, Tyler Miller (Allyson), Megan Fuller (Zack), Kyle Wright, Kerri Looney (Chance), Tucker Beightol, and Riley Beightol (Evan) and his great grandchildren William Looney and Emilia Fuller. Military Honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026 at Cheyenne National Cemetery. Please join us at the Cheyenne Trap Club, located at 5320 Bishop Blvd at 2:30 p.m. for a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice.
