Roland was born on December 27, 1931 to Albert and Blanche St. Pierre in Central Falls. Rhode Island. Roland grew up with three brothers, Eugene, Robert and Gerard, who all predeceased him. As a young man, he worked for the bakery industry in Rhode Island, starting with Dunkin Donuts and then his own bakery. Roland was tired of the snow and moved to California to leave the bad weather behind. Roland worked for the State of California as a Warehouse Manager for several hospitals in Southern California. After he retired from that he went to work at Phantom Fireworks. He took a job as the Manager of the Cheyenne Store with Phantom. Apparently, he really didn’t mind the snow. He was a great manager and liked by all that he met. He was a kind and generous man and was a friend to anyone and everyone he knew. He spent his last few years at Pointe Frontier where he enjoyed playing bridge and Rummikub. He was very dedicated to his church St. Joseph’s. Besides being a faithful worshiper, he volunteered at St. Joseph’s Food Pantry. His church family is going to miss this gentle man. Roland died on December 4, 2025. He is now singing with the heavenly host in the presence of Christ our King. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry.
