Roger Harold Lamb (aka Harold to many and Papa to his family) went to heaven on July 29, 2026 following a lengthy illness.

Born in northeast Georgia, Roger was born to Myrtle and Robert Lamb. He served in the USAF in Cheyenne, WY where he and Rita lived for the majority of his adult life. He was a lineman for Cheyenne Light Fuel and Power for many years. Many times, Roger was called out for outages in the wee hours in windy Wyoming weather and on virtually every holiday. He loved hunting and, and working on some old car or another in his spare time.

Roger is survived by Rita, wife of 58 years, children Scotty Lamb (Velvet), daughter, Melinda Mazzone, grandchildren Devin, Samantha, Stevie and Sidney, and six great grandchildren, brothers Ron Lamb (Brenda), Bud Lamb (Dee), sisters Louise Gault and Jeanette Duckworth. In addition to his parents, Roger was predeceased by siblings Larry, Gary, Lamar, Gerald, Maxine Worley, Janice Ponder and Betty Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Tamassee Chapel, in Tamassee, SC at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Following local services, Mr. Lamb will be laid to rest in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
