Robert “Bob” Monjaras, 91, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, at Davis Hospice Center, surrounded by loving family.
Bob spent the majority of life in Wyoming and remained deeply rooted in the community he loved. He married the love of his life, Connie Monjaras, on July 20, 1953, and together they shared 68 beautiful years of marriage, building a life centered on family, faith, and generosity.
Bob worked as a florist and in construction, and he loved to work with his hands, taking pride in hard work and providing for his family. He had a deep love for sports and was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Alongside Connie, he helped raise not only their own children but also over 100 foster children opening his home and heart to those in need. His quiet strength, steady presence, and deep love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Steve Monjaras (Karen) of Panama; Christine Monjaras (Bill) of Cheyenne; Jerry Monjaras (Kim) of Albuquerque, NM; David Monjaras of Cheyenne; Tommy Monjaras (Shae) of Cheyenne; Carlos Monjaras of California; Nioka Monjaras of California; Jerome Monjaras (Silique) of California; Jason Monjaras of California; and Patrick Monjaras of California. He was a proud grandfather to Kari Monjaras, Matthew Monjaras (Phoebe), Steven Monjaras (Danielle), Nicole Little (Jared), Tate Hudson (Monica), Robbie Monjaras, and Noah Hudson, and a great-grandfather to Vanessa Hudson (Zane), Asa Little, Marley Hudson, Adrianna Little, Alexander Little, Hadyn Monjaras, Ehric Dunham, Levon Hudson, Sean Monjaras, Carter Monjaras, Oliva Monjaras, Parker Monjaras, Own Monjaras, and Riley Monjaras.
Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie; daughter Darla; daughter, Susan; son Anthony; daughter, Sara Jane; his parents, Bernardino Monjaras Sr. And Agnes Monjaras; three brothers, Edward Monjaras, Theodore Monjars and Ben Monjaras; and two sisters Inez Hall and Soyla Gonzalez.
A celebration of life will be held in early summer. Donation may be made to the Daivs Hospice Center of Cheyenne, W. We are trye blessed to have had the wonderful support of this community resource.
