Rob Connerley

Robert "Rob" Randall Connerley, 65, beloved son, husband, brother, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at his home on July 18, 2026.

Rob was born in Fremont, Nebraska, on September 14, 1960. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1978 before attending Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska, where he studied Building Construction. After college, he met Gail Patrick, and they were married on September 28, 1985, in Fremont. They later moved to Loveland, Colorado, where they started their family.

Rob is survived by his daughters, Riley Feldman (Jake), grandchildren Auden and Avery; Amanda Valdez (Andrew), grandchildren Emma and Mia; his sister, Rhonda Shumake (Jay Bang); his brother, Royce Connerley (Annette); his mother-in-law, Shirley Patrick; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Rob's daughters meant everything to him, and he welcomed their friends as if they were family. Many of them knew him simply as "Papa C." He was a devoted father who worked hard to provide a good life for his family.

He began his career in Colorado as a cabinet maker before joining Anheuser-Busch in 1988, when the Fort Collins brewery opened. He spent the rest of his career there and retired in 2021.

Long before moving west, Rob loved hunting, fishing, and trapping. He enjoyed playing church league softball with friends and never passed up a stop at Dairy Queen after a game. In Colorado, he hunted antelope and elk. He later built a home on land in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where he raised his daughters. Hunting remained one of his favorite pastimes, and he shared many trips with his dad. He also looked forward to annual fishing trips to Canada with family and friends. Though he grew up cheering for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, he became a devoted fan of the Wyoming Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills. More recently, he enjoyed spending time with his companion, Marisa, and joined a pool league, where he enjoyed the friendships he made.

His grandchildren brought him endless joy. Rob had a big smile, an infectious laugh, and a playful spirit that made him seem like one of the kids. He was especially proud to see both of his daughters graduate from the University of Wyoming, and he loved watching his family grow as they welcomed children of their own.

After overcoming prostate cancer, Rob was feeling better than he had in years and was looking forward to his next chapter in life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gail; his father, Bob; his mother, Sandy; his father-in-law, Phil; and other loved family members.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on July 28 at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with a reception immediately following.
