Rita Hernandez

Rita Hernandez, 96, passed away on April 15, 2026, in Cheyenne. She was born on May 22,1929, in Torrington, WY to Diego and Caroline Hernandez Magdaleno.

Rita is survived by her son David (Patricia) Hernandez; granddaughter Christi Linville; grandson Dereck Hernandez; brothers Gilbert, Dave (Christine), and Tom Magdaleno; and sisters Mable (Manuel) Castillo, and Angeline Ramirez.

Rita was preceded in death by her husband William Hernandez; daughter Katherine York; her parents; brothers Alfredo, Benito, Raymond, Ralph, and Paulo; and sisters Francisca and Mary Ellen.

At Rita’s request, no services will take place. Rita, William, and Katherine will be interred together at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
