Raymond Eugene Soske, 82, passed away at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne on June 3, 2026. Ray was born February 22, 1944 to Lloyd Sr. and Bertha Soske in Hot Springs, South Dakota. He was raised on a ranch near Edgemont with his three brothers. He served in the National Army guard from March 1966- March 1972. He worked on the railroad, at a drilling company and in the uranium mines in South Dakota. In 1978 he moved his family to Wyoming, while continuing to work in the uranium industry. He later worked in the Nevada gold mines, and as a heavy construction operator. He and his wife raised their four boys in Medicine Bow. After retiring he and his wife bought a house in Albin, enjoyed cruising to many countries, and visiting with friends and family. After Erma passed away, he moved into Cheyenne to be closer to family.

He leaves behind his brother Lloyd Jr. Soske, Jerome Soske, three of his sons: Harold (Jess) Soske, Levi (Kristi) Soske, and Raymond Jr. Soske, six grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: Lloyd Sr. And Bertha Soske (parents), Harold John (Sonny) Soske (brother), Alta Soske (Sister-in-law), Erma Soske (his lifelong wife), Shane Soske (son) and Brad Soske (nephew).

Per his wishes, there will be no memorial or celebration of life, just spreading his ashes at a later date.
