Pauline Joyce Vonheeder

Pauline Joyce Vonheeder, lovingly known as Joyce, was born on October 10, 1946, in Stuart, Nebraska. She passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.

Joyce's educational journey began at Atkinson High School, where she graduated in the class of 1964. Her pursuit of knowledge continued as she achieved her degree in bookkeeping, a field in which she excelled and built a fulfilling career.

On June 18, 1977, Joyce married Gary Vonheeder, forging a partnership that would last a lifetime. Together, they welcomed two wonderful children, Gary Vonheeder, Jr. and Ben Vonheeder (Heather), who added joy and purpose to her life. Joyce's family extended further through her step-grandchildren, Austin Cassel and Gracie Bromagen, whom she cherished deeply.

Joyce was not only a devoted wife and mother but also a beloved sister to Jean Baumeister of Stuart, Nebraska. She took great pride in her role as an aunt to her nephews Lyle and Clint Baumeister and her niece Amy Redden.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Pauline Schafer, and siblings Fred Schafer and Donna Schafer. Though they have departed, their memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew them.

She will be sorely missed by her husband Gary, her children, and her extended family. Joyce’s warmth and kindness touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark that will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
