Paula Lee Sisseck

Paula, a cherished soul and a beacon of warmth and kindness, peacefully passed away in her sleep on July 28, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in Denver Colorado on March 12, 1951. Paula brought light and joy to everyone she encountered throughout her remarkable life.

Paula was preceded home to the Lord by her Grand-parents Herbert and Inez Krauter, parents Alvin Lee Wilson, Dortha Joanne Brownfield, Charles and Phylis Derrington, her son Shawn Herbert Sisseck, granddaughter Cassandra (Cassie) Klassy, and numerous Aunts and Uncles. Though these losses were profound, Paula found solace and strength in her surviving family members.

She is lovingly remembered by her devoted partner Joseph S. Martin, with whom she shared a beautiful life since 2005. Her children Christopher Sisseck and Mari Sisseck (engaged to Patrick Cowan) and stepchildren Goldie Christine Titus (Aaron Campbell) and Rufus (Sarah Beth) Martin.

Paula's legacy is carried on by her siblings Pam Volz, Peggy Walton, Scott Wilson, and Jonnie Middaugh, her 11 grandchildren, and her 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom was blessed by her boundless love and joyful spirit. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren including Mary, Ellie, and Aurora (Klassy), Xavier Richardson, Christopher (LC) Sisseck II; Kirstin Montgomery, Jessica (Joshua) Perez (Jasper and Coulter Sisseck-Bray, Willow Sisseck, Alora Sisseck-Perez, and soon-to-arrive Malachai Lee and Josiah Emmanuel Perez-Sisseck), Skylar (Makayla) Deeter (Everett Deeter), Ashley Bray, Natausha Cowan (Liam Cowan); Jessica Titus, Thea Titus, and Tyler Martin.

A proud graduate of Adam City High School in 1969, Paula dedicated 25 years of her life as a professional cook, where she served in various assisted living communities.Her passion for cooking and baking left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of sharing her table. Paula's devotion to her work was matched only by her love for her church and community, as she actively participated in the First Baptist Church in Charles City, Iowa, for 12 years.

Paula's interests were as varied as they were delightful. An avid gardener, she found immense joy in tending to her rose bushes and vegetable garden. Her creativity blossomed through crocheting and refurbishing furniture, while her adventurous spirit thrived in fishing and exploring garage sales. Above all, Paula was known for her warm smile and infectious laughter, her ability to make everyone feel welcome and loved, and her unparalleled kindness and generosity.

In honor of her memory, the family suggests donations be made to the Dementia Society of America or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Polarius Rehabilitation & Care Center and Enhabit Hospice of Cheyenne for their compassionate care during Paula's final days. "Forever in our hearts," her family lovingly states, a sentiment that captures the profound impact Paula had on all who were fortunate to know her. May her spirit continue to inspire and bring warmth to the world.

Services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 11:00 am at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
