Mary Irene Wilson

Mary was born in Lawrence, Kansas on March 13th, 1929. She died in Cheyenne, WY, November 9th, 2025. She was born into hardship during the Great Depression. However she was smart and managed, with the help of her mother, to thrive. She went on to college and worked in Denver for many years. Her first marriage was to James Wilson in 1952. Later widowed she married Kenneth Barrow and moved to Cheyenne. There she lived until her death at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center earlier this year.

She was sharp until the end. I was very pleased when she recognized me and also was happy to see me—just one day before her death. Unfortunately at age 96, the body wears. She succumbed to pneumonia, was only hospitalized for a short time and passed peacefully. With enormous gratitude, pride and love, I say goodbye to my dear mother Mary Irene.
