Mary Antrim Oslund, 86, of Austin, TX was called home peacefully to God on August 5, 2025. She was born in Cheyenne, WY on June 28, 1939, the beloved daughter of George and Kathryn (Green) Antrim. Childhood friends and family knew her as Winkie, a nickname her father gave her as an infant. Mary graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1957 where she met her high school sweetheart and future husband Jack. After Mary graduated from Colorado Women’s College in 1959, she and Jack married and spent their first marital years at the University of Wyoming while Jack finished his studies. Eventually Northern Virginia became their home for over 45 years where they built their life together and raised their family, until they retired in Colorado near the Rockies that they loved so much.

Mary was a beloved grandmother, mother, daughter, cousin, and friend. She enriched her family’s life as a devoted mother and wife and taught by example the importance of serving your community and serving your church. She had a quiet, but strong faith and prioritized her family faithfully attending church, which was a Blessing to her family. Through the years she was very active in the church from her involvement with Grace Couples, to serving on committees, to serving as a Wedding Coordinator.

She was always on the move multi-tasking, volunteering, and planning for the next social or the next trip. She loved gardening, reading, watching sports, and being active. Mary and Jack celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on a family white water rafting trip on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. She had a gift for hospitality and had a loving way of making our house a home and making holidays and special occasions even more festive. After the children grew older, Mary reentered the workforce as a Payroll Administrator with a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. Upon retirement, she worked as a sales associate with Talbots where she excelled at sharing her gift of style with others.

As a child Mary travelled with her mother to the 48 contiguous states. Jack made sure she got to Hawaii and Alaska. Through Jack’s work, he and Mary were able to travel to countries around the world, a passion they continued through retirement. Mary’s friends and family were a highly valued and important part of her life. Her last trip was to Wyoming and Colorado to attend her 65th High School reunion and to visit family and friends.

Mary is survived by: son Scot Oslund and wife September; granddaughter Kristi Shiffrin and husband Taylor; daughter Cheryl Oslund; granddaughters Carina and Natalie Manitius; daughter Erin Westbrook and husband Gary.
