Marlene Louise Pexton, born on April 14, 1957, in Wheatland, Wyoming, passed away peacefully in Aurora, Colorado, on April 24, 2025. She left this world surrounded by the love of her family.
Marlene was a dedicated individual who spent many years working in retail at establishments such as Cactus Jacks, Pamida, and JC Penney. Her commitment to her work and the relationships she built with customers and colleagues alike were evident throughout her career.
A proud graduate of Glendo High School, Class of 1975, Marlene cherished her roots in Wyoming and carried the values of her upbringing throughout her life. Family was of utmost importance to her, and she nurtured close bonds with her loved ones. Marlene married Mike Pexton on September 18, 1976, and had two beautiful children, sons Cory and Trent.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Mike Pexton; her brothers, Monte Duff and Mickey Duff; her sister, Mitzi Mudgett; and her sons, Cory Pexton and Trent Pexton. She took great joy in being a grandmother to her beloved grandchildren: Forrest Bulgin, Ivory Pexton, Aspen Pexton, and Christian Pexton.
She was preceded in death by her father, Martin Duff; her mother, Maxine Duff; her grandfather, Andy Robinson; and her grandmother, Ada Robinson.
The community is invited to gather in remembrance of Marlene. A visitation will be held on May 1, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a Vigil Service and Rosary at 6:00 PM, all taking place at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes, located at 1900 E 19th St, Cheyenne, WY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1808 Hot Springs Avenue, Cheyenne, WY, on May 2, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Pallbearers for the service will be Wiley Duff, Andy Duff, Logan Duff, Levi Duff, Forrest Bulgin, and Matt Pexton.
Marlene Louise Pexton will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and family values will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
