Mark Joseph Bruner, 61, passed away unexpectedly on February 16, 2026. He was born to Joseph (Joe) and Sherill (Caffey) Bruner on March 30, 1964. Mark grew up in Cheyenne and graduated from East High in 1982. He attended Denver Technical College (bought by DeVry University) with a degree in Computer Science/Business Administration. Mark was easing into retirement after several years working in Colorado as a software engineer and developer, most recently with Spinnaker Support and MYR Group.
Mark loved to stay active and loved sports. He was an avid Denver Bronco fan and had been a season ticket holder for almost 50 years. He also enjoyed the Denver Nuggets, skiing, golf and bowling. His passion was music and he continued to attend concerts whenever his favorite bands were coming to his area.
Mark is survived by his wife Elizabeth, mother Sherill, sisters Diane (Michael) Hoover and JoAnn Reid, nephews Kristopher and Kevin Hoover and Daniel (Anna) Prall, niece Allison Prall and great nieces and nephew Jolie, Everly, and Grayson. He was preceded in death by his father Joe.
Mark was known as a loving and caring individual and just an all around "great guy" who will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Per Mark's wishes, there will be no service. Interment will take place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
