Lyle Dean Brownell, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully. He was born in Kimball, Nebraska, to Ruth and James Brownell, and from an early age showed the qualities of hard work, humor, and kindness that defined his life.
For 43 wonderful years, Lyle shared his life with his wife, Cindy Kaye Brownell, building a marriage rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Together, they created a home filled with warmth and cherished memories.
Lyle dedicated over 50 years of his life to the grocery industry, where he worked as both a manager and a trusted team member. Extremely dependable and hardworking, he led by example and earned the respect of coworkers, customers, and friends alike. His strong work ethic and steady presence made him a cornerstone both at work and at home. Outside of work, Lyle’s true joys came from his hobbies and the time spent with those he loved. A classic car enthusiast and avid model car builder, he poured his patience and artistry into every project. He was also a passionate sports fan, cheering faithfully for the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos, as well as following NASCAR with great enthusiasm. Lyle had a wonderful sense of humor and the rare ability to make friends wherever he went. His easygoing nature, paired with his loyalty and dependability, made him someone others could always count on.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; his children, Amy Halsey and Paul Brownell; and his grandchildren, Baillee and Dayten Halsey, who were the pride and joy of his life. Lyle will be deeply missed, yet forever celebrated, by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him. His memory will live on in the laughter of his family, the friendships he nurtured, and every game day or race day when those who loved him cheer a little louder in his honor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 13, 2025, in the Calvary Chapel, located at 9209 Ridge Road. In honor of Lyle's service please wear Bronco's or classic cars or rock n roll shirts.
