Lorraine Rose Atkinson

Lorraine Rose Atkinson, 76, of Cheyenne, passed away November 1, 2025, at Davis Hospice Center.

She was born on June 10, 1949, in Cheyenne, Wyoming to A. George and Helen Dugas.

Lorraine graduated from Saint Mary’s Catholic School and eventually found her way to the State of Wyoming where she retired from the Human Resources Department.

She was blessed to marry the love of her life, Gerald “Jerry” Atkinson, and proud to be the mother of two sons. She will be remembered for her passion for music and enjoyment of life.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Atkinson; her brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Susan Dugas; her sister and brother in-law, Mary and Roger Nelson; her son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Amber Atkinson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A. George and Helen Dugas; her brother, Michael Dugas; and her son, James Atkinson.

A Vigil will be held at November 12th at 4 pm at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes and the Funeral Mass will be held November 13th at 10 am at Cathedral of St. Mary with a lunch to follow at Hartman Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial donation to Davis Hospice Center, Cathedral of St Mary, or another charity of choice. The family would also like to thank Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
