Lois Marlene Strayer

Marlene Strayer passed away November 20, 2023. Marlene (Crosier) Strayer was born on May 15, 1937, in Akron, CO to Alva and Dorothy Crosier. She lived in Akron until moving to Greeley, CO in 1957. She also lived in Grover, CO, Carpenter and Veteran, WY until moving to Cheyenne in 1969.
She worked with LCSD#1 for 17 years before retiring in 1994. She also owned and operated Wyoming Milk Can Cooking until her retirement in 1998. Marlene often said she cooked in “half the garages in Cheyenne”. She was also a member of the Elks Lodge #660 in Cheyenne.
She is survived by daughters Lorye McLeod of Ft. Collins and Kelly Brown of Cheyenne; granddaughter Niki (Nate) Dale; great-grandsons Kylon and Kaysen of Gillette, WY; brother Ken (Vonnie) Crosier of Centennial, CO and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Maxine Thim; brother Kenneth Crosier; and husband Ike who passed away in 1994.
