Lois Elaine Adams, of Cheyenne, WY, passed away on Friday, December 19th, 2025. She was born at home, one of eleven children, to Deyoe and Eva Gay Rogers (Snyder) on August 26th, 1938 in Hardtner, KS. Lois attended Hardtner High School and graduated in the class of 1956. On January 27th, 1957, she married Charles Alton Adams, to whom she was married more than 60 years. They had one child, Kendall, in 1965. She later obtained her B.A. in Education from The University of Missouri Kansas City in 1972, and after moving to Cheyenne, began her career at Laramie County School District #1. She was a long time 1st Grade teacher at Buffalo Ridge Elementary. Lois was a proud member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Women’s Educational Society, and had a passion for the education and positive development of children. She also had a deep affection for the game of golf. She spent many afternoons on the fairway enjoying the company of good friends and even won a tournament or two. She is preceded in death by her parents, 9 siblings, and her husband Charles. She is survived by her son, Charles Kendall Adams (Nikki) of Cheyenne, WY, granddaughter Hannah Grace Adams of Laramie, WY, and her sister Hope Swinford (Dale) of Albuquerque, NM and well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Adams family would like to thank and express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Davis Hospice Center for their professionalism and loving care. Funeral Services will be held at a later date at Wiederspahn Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation to Delta Kappa Gamma in support of their efforts to fund The Children’s Museum, the Laramie County Library’s children’s reading programs as well as other programs supporting the children of Cheyenne.
