After a long and courageous battle with blood cancer, Linda Kay Corso, beloved wife, mother, sister, friend, and faithful servant of God, was called home on July 8, 2026, to be reunited with her husband, Robert James Corso, and to rest in the presence of the Lord.
Linda was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa in 1944 to William Albert Browning and Ruby Maxine Olson Browning.
A devoted member of the Catholic Church, Linda lived her faith through service, compassion, and community. She was deeply involved in the Bishop’s Guild, Cathedral Guild and Eucharistic Ministry, where she found lifelong friendships and purpose in helping others. Her faith was the guiding light of her life and the comfort that sustained her through every trial and tribulation.
Before retiring, Linda built a long and successful career in mortgage lending, serving with dedication and expertise at several financial institutions throughout Cheyenne.
Linda found joy in life’s simple blessings — the beauty of the mountains, the serenity of camping trips, and the laughter and stories shared around a card table with her cherished card club friends. Linda had a deep love for angels, decorating her home and Christmas tree each year with her revered winged treasures. Her beloved dogs, Kaci and Cooper, were her loyal companions and a great source of love and comfort after losing her husband of 55 years.
Linda’s radiant smile, quiet strength, and unwavering kindness—shown even through 12 years of battling cancer—touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She lived a life filled with grace and gratitude, and her memory will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her son Troy Corso (Jennifer), daughter Traci Willingham (Bill), siblings William Reid (Suzi), Harold Reid (Arlene), Dan Reid, Joan Rau (Mick), and many nieces and nephews.
A vigil will be held at Wiederspahn Radomsky funeral home on July 15, 2026 at 5:00 pm and a funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral on July 16, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by gravesite burial at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens. A reception at Hartmann Hall will follow the funeral service.
Linda’s favorite colors are yellow and red and if you feel moved enough, please wear one of these colors in her honor at her services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made to Davis Hospice Center, in Linda’s name.
Our family extends our deepest gratitude to the compassionate care of the Davis Hospice team, Melissa, Kristi, Charley and Brandi. Her faith was steadfast and her love eternal. Linda now rests peacefully with God after a life beautifully lived.
We are never really gone, just physically set free.
