Leonard Atmer Turner, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 78 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He was born on July 13, 1946, in Girard, Kansas, where he was raised among family and friends who fondly remember his warm spirit and infectious enthusiasm for life.

Leonard dedicated much of his life to his family, taking great pride in his role as a husband and father. He shared a harmonious and loving partnership with his wife of 49 years, Judy Turner, who was the light of his life. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising two daughters who were his pride and joy: Melissa Turner of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Christina Wenz, who, along with her husband Griffin Wenz, resides in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Leonard is also survived by his brothers, Marc Turner and his wife Kristi Turner of Texas City, Texas, and multiple nieces and one nephew. He leaves behind the fond memories of family gatherings and cherished moments spent with those he loved dearly.

Leonard's dedication to service extended beyond his family; he was a proud Navy veteran who served his country honorably. His military service was a testament to his commitment to others, reflecting the values he instilled in his family.

In his leisure time, Leonard embraced a variety of hobbies that showcased his creativity and passion for craftsmanship. A talented car restorer, he relished the process of bringing old vehicles back to life. He also found joy in riding his motorcycle, feeling a sense of freedom on the open road. Leonard had a keen interest in philately and nurtured an extensive stamp collection that delighted him. Additionally, he poured his heart into building model railroads and sceneries, creating intricate displays that showcased his imaginative vision.

Leonard is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard A. Turner and Mary Kay Turner, who shaped the foundation of his values and character. Their love and guidance will forever be remembered and cherished by those he leaves behind.

In honoring Leonard's life, we celebrate a man whose spirit touched many, whose craftsmanship brought beauty into the world, and whose legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be profoundly missed.
