Mr. Wilder was born to Charlie and Elnora Wilder in Crowville, Louisiana. He accepted Christ at an early age. Lee was educated in Madison Parish schools where he played baseball and led his team to the Championship playoffs. Lee graduated from McCall High School in 1970.

Throughout his life, he worked in several professions, including at the historic Coca-Cola plant in Tallulah, Louisiana; as a surveyor for Teledyne Oil for many years; and later as a truck driver, which became his passion until retirement.

Lee moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming in December 1982 and remained there for the rest of his life. He was known as a devoted Dallas Cowboys' fan and enjoyed westerns and occasional trips to the slots.

He is survived by his wife Etta of Cheyenne, Wyoming; daughters Cheryl Washington (Steve) of Houston, Texas, Yushonda Murthil and Elizabeth Williams of Cheyenne, Wyoming; and son Vincent Efron; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings John, Clay, Thelma, and Linda Wilder of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

  • He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Wilder Sr. and Elnora Wilder; brothers Charles Otis, Jessie, Charlie “Sonny,” and Renard Wilder; sisters Mabel Kline and Martha Wilder; grandson Keshawn Ammons; and daughter Yolanda Ewell.
