Laura Lynn Willett Cooper was born to Martha and Robert Willett on August 25, 1961 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She graduated from East HS in 1979 and later married James Kortie Cooper on September 20, 1986. They had two sons Levi Scott and James Wyatt.
Following Willett Family Tradition she became a Heavy Equipment Operator early in life and continued for several years. After moving to Arizona she changed careers to the grocery industry. She worked her way up to meat cutter and worked in various other departments. She retired in July 2025 as a highly decorated Barista for Starbucks. She also worked as a bartender for a short time.
If you knew Laura, you knew her mantra LIVE YOUR LIFE. She was known as a very hard worker and very loved for her sense of humor, smile, bright eyes and kindness.
Laura loved adventures especially the outdoors such as wind surfing, paddle boarding, dirt bikes, dancing. camping and was always up for most anything. Most of all, she loved her boys and family.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cooper, parents Bob and Marty Willett, brothers, Andy and Johnny Willett.
Laura is survived by her sons, Levi (Emilie) and Wyatt, sister, Diana McNamara (Sean), brother, Bobby Willett (Terry “Lucy”) and sister in law, Lari Willett, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and the Cooper family in Arizona.
A Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be announced at a later date.
Donations can be made to CRMC, Davis Hospice Center, Home Hospice Care or Black Dog Animal Rescue.
