Larry A. Smith

Larry A. Smith, 75, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Cheyenne. He was born on October 22, 1950, in St. Charles, Illinois, to Roy and Virginia (Kowalewski) Smith.

Larry spent most of his life working as a carpenter, a trade that reflected both skill and a proud family tradition shared by his father and brothers. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his daughter, Tanya Moser (Eric); his brother, Roy Smith (Donna); nephews Troy Smith (Janaye) and Travis Garcia; niece Sherry Lamz (Dan); granddaughters Heather Robb and Tanya Kish; great-granddaughter Emily Washam; and his longtime companion, Marion Nicks.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lori Kish, in 2019; his brothers, Dale Smith and Gene Smith; and his nephews, Eric Smith and Clayton Smith.

He will be remembered for his craftsmanship, his love of hunting and the outdoors, and the many years he shared with family and friends.
