Laddie C. Fredrick Jr, 88, passed away on May 21, 2025. He was born in Scio, Oregon on October 29, 1936 to Laddie C. Fredrick Sr. and Hilda Fredrick.

Laddie lived in Cheyenne, Wyoming and graduated from Cheyenne High in 1954. While in high school, he enlisted in the Wyoming Air National Guard and later attended Photography and Laboratory Technician School. After his training, he served on weekends with the Air Guard in the Photo Lab and worked full-time with Boyd Wholesale. In 1957, began his full-time career with the Air Guard. He was the keeper of the Guard history through his photos. Laddie was assigned to the flying squadron and served as Chief Loadmaster. He flew as a crewmember on the C-119, C-121, and the C-130 aircraft logging over 6700 flying hours. He was reassigned to the Visual Information Center in 1972 and served as the Visual Information Manager until his selection as Senior Enlisted Advisor. Laddie was the first Wyoming Air National Guard Command Chief. He retired in 1996 with 43 years of service.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, and spending time with his family and friends at his cabin in Glendo, Wyoming. Laddie’s dogs were also an important part of his life.

Laddie married Linda Pysklo, the love of his life, in 1957. They have three children Sandra (Jim) Gabriel of Laramie, Wyoming; Gregg (Barbie) Fredrick of Spearfish, SD; and Pam Fredrick of Cheyenne, WY. They have four grandchildren, Justin Gabriel of Laramie, WY; Chuck Gabriel of Cheyenne, WY; Nate (Taylor) Fredrick of Spearfish, SD; and Abbie Fredrick of Stillwater, OK. They have one great grandson Jaxson Fredrick of Spearfish, SD.

Laddie was proceeded in death by his parents Hilda and Laddie Fredrick Sr. as well as his sister H. Adeline Berardi, and brothers Robert J. Fredrick and Harold Eugene Fredrick. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in his name to the charity of your choice.
