Kelly L. Thompson

Kelly Len Thompson, 64, of Pine Bluffs, passed away on May 4, 2026. He was born on June 29, 1961, in Lander, to Roy Leonard and Rose Ellen Thompson. Kelly attended Pine Bluffs High School and graduated in 1980. He married Donna Klinginsmith in 1984. In 1990, they moved to their place in Pine Bluffs, where they built a life and raised their family.

Kelly was a truck driver for most of his career, but he always pitched in during harvest time for various farmers, packing silage pits or hauling sugar beets. During the beginning of his marriage, he volunteered for the Pine Bluffs Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing at the pond, hunting coyotes, woodworking, reading (recently as many as seven books a week), and drinking a beer.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; daughters, Kilee (Nathan Groh) and Paige (Cayleb Winkler); son, Chase (Lane Brandenburg); granddaughters, Maya and Seinna; grandson, Declan; sisters, Linda Wood (Kent) and Paula Bivens (Rich); and brother, Casey Thompson (Alison).

Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ellen Thompson, and his daughter, Missy Thompson.
