It is with profound sadness and broken hearts we announce the unexpected passing of our precious daughter and sister, Keira Nicole Banks, at the age of 20, on Thursday, October 8th, at her home in Casper, Wyoming.
She was born on May 3rd, 2006, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Keira was truly the light of our family. She was the most loving, caring, funny, kind soul we have ever known.
She had the biggest heart and truly cared about everyone and everything. She never wanted anyone to feel left out and always wanted everyone to feel included. She had a bright spirit, gentle heart, and a contagious smile that would light up any room she walked into.
She had a deep love for animals, especially cats. She loved art, music, karate, basketball, fishing, concerts, and video games.
Keira attended Alta Vista Elementary, Carey Jr. High, and graduated from East High School in 2024. Shortly after graduation, she then moved to Casper. There she was working as a manager at Menards. She was always looking for an adventure, living her best life to the fullest.
Keira was loved by all who had the privilege of being blessed by her presence.
She is survived by her parents, Aaron and Katrina Banks, and her big brother, Desmond, who she looked up to, admired, and loved very much; her grandparents, Ken and Cindy Gibbens of Colorado; her grandparents, JC and Kathy Banks of Cheyenne; her uncles and aunts, Richard (Jen), Shawn, Keith, Kyle, Tiffany, Chasity (Kenny), and Joanna (Aaron); numerous cousins; and her friends that she loved so dearly who will miss her every single day.
She was preceded in death by her grandma, Ricky Jane Pyle; two cousins, Darnell and Tevin Taylor; and her great-grandparents on both her mom’s and dad’s side.
Additional details about services honoring Keira’s life will be shared here as they become available.
