Karen Sue Sweet

Karen Sue (Burnett) Sweet passed away at Life Care Center of Cheyenne on October 20, 2025, from a short-term battle of aggressive cancer. She was born on April 13, 1948, in Dinuba, CA. Karen loved to play cards and dominoes along with spending time with family and friends.

She leaves behind brother Jens Burnett; sisters Rita Burnett and Teresa Gipson-Huff; sons Freddie (Carilin) and Albert (Tina) Altman; daughter Tammy (Greg) Slay; grandchildren Felicia, Kelli, Kailee, Jensrick, and Austin.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life Donald Altman; parents Charles Burnett and Ruby Lewis; grandparents Alex and Edith Kummer; and brother Melvin Burnett.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
