It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved Joshua Lee Abeyta “Josh”. Josh was born July 26, 1983, in Cheyenne, WY. Josh graduated from WyoTech College with two diplomas, one in Diesel Mechanic and the other in Collision Refinishing (Auto Body). Josh worked hard as a mechanic and a construction worker. If you knew him you knew he was anywhere, doing anything and everything for others. Josh was the best handyman around and always wanted everyone to be happy.
He was every kid’s biggest smile, whether it was family or not, every kid was always excited to see Josh. He was always the one to play with the kids for however long they wanted and be the light of their party. He was a great person in many ways, but especially a great uncle. Josh also loved being outside, whether it was camping, concerts, or any social events with friends and family. We will always remember Josh for his BIG heart, sense of humor, outgoing personality, and of course his loud music.
Joshua is survived by his mother Tara Connelly-Kallas (Gus Kallas); stepfather Bryan Messick (Latanya McQueen); father Vince Abeyta (Hope Martinez); brothers Justin Abeyta (“Erica Gomez), Nathan Messick (Jennifer Ledezma/Nathan Valenzuela) and Zaiden Messick; sister Faithann Hauck; grandparents Helen Munoz and Roy Alicea; nephews and nieces Justin (Cello) Abeyta, Adara Messick, Miani Abeyta; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Josh was preceded in death by grandparents Alfred and Shirley Connelly; Jerry and Shelley Messick, Vern Hodge, Joey Abeyta, Bart Munoz, Steve Abeyta, Sam Trujillo, and Cary Connelly.
