Joan Marie Schlatter (Joni), 71, passed away on June 16, 2026. She was born on March 18, 1955, and was raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Joan was known for her strong work ethic, generous spirit, and deep love for her family. She was a hardworking woman who approached life with determination and resilience. She enjoyed spending her time driving around town, exploring garage sales, and searching for special treasures.

She was survived by her daughter, Janaia Gonzales, and her son, Ryan Schlatter, both of Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was a proud grandmother to Phillip Gonzales, Jaylee Schlatter, Kali Tirone and a loving great-grandmother to Paxton Gonzales. She was also survived by her siblings, Maryann Moore, Eva Lechner, and George Lechner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Joan was preceded in death by her mother, Tillie Vasquez; her father, Andrew Lechner; her brothers, Richard Sandoval, Tony Romero, John Romero, and Frank Lechner; and her sister, Rosie Robles.

Joan will be remembered for her kindness, strength, and generosity. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky. A reception will follow at the Gathering Place. The family invites all who knew Joan to join them in celebrating her life and sharing memories of the love and joy she brought to so many.
