Joan Madeline (Lane) Mulhern, 87, of Cheyenne, passed peacefully at Davis Hospice on March 30, 2025. Joan Lane was born on September 16, 1937 to Linda and Harry Lane, and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She is survived by two sons Tom (Kym) of Kalamazoo, MI and Wayne (Maranatha) of Cheyenne; six grandchildren, Zachary (Lauren) of Mayer, MN, Erin (Keith) Rovelstad of Sunnyvale CA, Ethan (Bethany) of Cheyenne, Brian (Lauren) of Edwarsburg, MI, Ben (Sylvia) of Cheyenne, and Cody (Kyra) of Cheyenne, WY, 9 great grandchildren, her sister Ina Clausen of Elcerrito, CA, and two brothers Edward Clausen of North Bennington, VT, and Robert (Katherine) Clausen of Housatonic, MA. Joan worked for the state of Wyoming in the Department of Environmental Quality. She was a member of Mariners at 1st Presbyterian Church, Beta Sigma Phi, and the Cheyenne chapter of the Red Hats Society. Joan was preceded in death by Thomas H. Mulhern, her husband of 66 years. A memorial service will take place at 1st Presbyterian Church in Cheyenne on Sunday, April 27 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to either Davis Hospice or 1st Presbyterian Church, Cheyenne, WY.
