Joan Fangman, 60, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully at the VA Medical Center on June 6, 2025. Born on September 25, 1964, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Joan was lovingly known by family and friends as someone who was quick witted and had a joyful spirit that brightened every room she entered. Anyone who knew Joan, knew she loved football especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, coffee, flowers and numerous collectibles. Joan was a cherished daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and great-aunt, whose humorous outlook and playful smile provided endless joy. Despite her physical limitations, Joan always had a contagious smile on her face. Joan proudly served in the United States Army for 3 years. After her time in the military, Joan was able to stay home to raise her son. Joan leaves behind her son Zachary Fangman (Cierra) and two beautiful grand children Kamryn and Kinzley and with another granddaughter on the way. Joan is survived by her mother Karen Hinker of Cheyenne, sisters and brothers Deb Ahlbrecht (Bob) of Casper, Greg Hinker (Liana) of Cheyenne, Dave Hinker (Stacey) of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, Cindy Osbourne (Brent) of Cheyenne, Larry Hinker (Kim) of North Platte, Nebraska, and Lori Terwilliger (Jason) of Cheyenne along with 17 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her father Richard Hinker and brother, John Hinker. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 2:00, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, with a reception to follow at the Gathering Place.
