Jeffrey “Jeff” Green, 59, of Cheyenne Wyoming died on June 15, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. Jeff fought cancer with extraordinary strength and courage. His family was by his side when he passed.
Jeff was a towering person both in stature and personality, and his fierce loyalty to his family and friends was admirable. Jeff was a loving son, brother, friend, husband and father.
Jeff was born in Orange County, California and moved to Cheyenne when he was a young boy. From an early age, Jeff loved golf. He golfed throughout his childhood, and in high school, at Cheyenne Central High, where he made the golf team. After high school, Jeff attended college where he studied accounting. Jeff moved to California where he became a local golf professional at the Rancho Las Palmas Golf Resort in Palm Springs. Jeff went on to run a dry-cleaning business in Oklahoma, where he met the love of his life, Valerie, got married and celebrated the birth of his only child, Courtney.
In 2015 Jeff and his family made their way back to Cheyenne to be closer to family and friends. At that time, he also started working for the State of Wyoming as an auditor. Jeff loved his job at the State and called the people he worked with his extended family.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 26 years, Valerie, his daughter, Courtney, and his four sisters, Jennifer (Joel) Clancy, Laura (Sam) Solis, Linda (Dan) Haley, and Melissa Green and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Beverly Green, and his brother, Christopher Green.
Services will be Wednesday, June 18th, 2:00 p.m., at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at the Beth-El cemetery. A reception will follow at the Cheyenne Airport Golf Club at 5:00pm.
