Jean S. Williamson passed away on March 20, 2026, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jim. Jean is survived by her two sisters, four children, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Jean was born in Denver but grew up in different Colorado communities, eventually landing in Sterling. As a young woman, she was an aspiring opera singer until she met and married the love of her life. She became a homemaker who created wonderful cakes and costumes for her children that they still talk about today. Jean had a love of opera and classical music all her life which she passed on to the next two generations. She was also an avid quilter, having pieced over fifty quilts. She was involved with the Presbyterian Church, League of Women’s Voters, Orpheus Club, and 4-H in Sterling. She got a love for rocks from her parents and loved rock hunting. She also enjoyed creating a rock garden. Jean and Jim moved to Cheyenne Wyoming at the end of 2018. Jean was an avid reader and loved going to the Laramie County Library.
