JD Stevens

November 19, 1944 — April 15, 2025

JD Stevens, 80, of Cheyenne, passed April 15 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 19, 1944, in Havre-de-Grace, MD, to Robert and Mary Stevens. JD worked and retired as a Land Appraiser for WYDOT. A member of the WY Army National Guard, JD attained the rank of CW3 and was Commander of the 67th Army Band until his retirement in 1991. A Vietnam veteran, JD was a member of The American Legion, VFW, and the Elks. He served on the CFD Ticket Committee and proudly became a Heels member in 2002. He is survived by his wife Teri; daughter Chrissie Nelson; son Travis (Tessa) Stevens; brothers Rob (Sue) & Dan (Barbara) Stevens; grandchildren Zach Parrish, Luke Stevens, Heath, Shaia , & Eliana Hersh; and several nieces and nephews. JD was preceded in death by his parents and brother John R. (Kathy) Stevens. There will be a Vigil for the Deceased on Wednesday, 4/23, 6:00 pm at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, 1900 E. 19th St. and a Funeral Liturgy on Thursday 4/24, 11:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1836 Hot Springs Ave. Interment and Military Honors to follow at 1:00 pm at Cheyenne National Cemetery, 8611 Hildreth Rd.
