Jayne May Pittman

With great sadness we mourn the death of Jayne May Pittman, 72, who passed peacefully in her sleep on June 15, 2025, in Cheyenne, Wyoming at her loving sister’s home. She was born on May 5, 1953, in Macon, Georgia, to Richard H. May, Sr., and Mary G. Williams May. Jayne worked in warehousing, painting, hospitality, and delivery. She enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking and spending time with family. She was fun-loving, adventurous, generous, loved animals, especially her many dogs throughout her lifetime, and collected turtles.

She was preceded in death by husband Harrison L. Pittman, daughter Kathie L. Wilmot, father Richard H. May, Sr., mother Mary G. Williams May, brother Jack E. May, Sr., and brother-in-law Harry Wayne Boggus.

She is survived by daughters Jamie R. Rice, Candyce L. Chauncey, son, Casey L. Pittman; siblings Bobby D Edge (Cathy), Joseph R. May (Dianne), Charles F. May (Liz), Mary S. May-Boggus, and Betty J. Gulliver (Kenneth). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and her long time friend Doris Eldridge.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough, Georgia at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Davis Hospice Center, Cheyenne, Wyoming, or Coco’s Cupboard Animal Rescue located in Gay, Georgia.
