Listen to Obituary

Jason S Adams, 53, passed away on September 25, 2025, in the mountains he loved, doing what he loved.

Born July 15, 1972, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to James and Connie Adams, Jay grew up with a deep love for family and the outdoors. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and a loyal friend whose impact reached all who knew him. Of all the names he carried through life, his favorite was Papa.

Jay’s greatest joy was his family, teaching his children by example and cherishing every moment with them. His garage was his sanctuary, a place where he welcomed everyone—whether it was to change oil or to gather for WWE nights with friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy; his mother, Connie; his children David (Crystal) Johnson, Taylor (Joshua) Anderson, Cassidy Adams, Sierra Adams, his grandchildren Angelina (Dalton), Lilli, Andrew, Adalya, Catherine, Maggie, Audie, and Grayson; his first great-grandson, Milton; his sister Melisa (Mike) Mizel; his brother Jimmy (Mariah) Adams; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Adams III.

A celebration of Jay’s life will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the GI Forum, 619 South Greeley Highway, Cheyenne, WY. A potluck dinner will follow—please bring your favorite dish to share.
