Jim passed away January 7th, 2026, at his home. He was 100 years old.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Jim grew up in the oilfields around Midwest, Wyoming. A proud WWII veteran, Jim worked for the Wyoming Highway Department, retiring in 1986. He loved his guns, shooting, hunting, fishing, golfing, caring for his cars, the Wyoming Cowboys, and most of all telling his stories.
Jim is survived by the love of his life, Barbara, his wife of 75 years. Three sons Bruce, Paul, and Robert (Jeanie), ten grand kids, and ten great grand kids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth, two daughters-in law, and two grandsons.
Jim was truly "one of a kind" and will be greatly missed.
Per Jim's request there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Uncle Charlie's, 6001 N. Yellowstone Rd. Be sure to wear your Wyoming Cowboys apparel.
