James Kelvin Seaton, a proud Marine and patriot, left this world on January 1, 2026, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 28, 1959, in Salina, Kansas, and his journey through life is marked by a deep devotion to his country and a vibrant engagement with the world around him.

James will be remembered for his quick wit, his unwavering love for the Marine Corps, and his passion for lively debate on just about any topic that commanded attention. He embraced life's challenges with enthusiasm, fostering discussions that inspired others to think critically and engage with their own perspectives.

A cornerstone of James’s life was his marriage to his beloved wife, Carol. Together, they shared 46 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, commitment, and family. Their partnership exemplified resilience and mutual respect, creating a nurturing environment for their children and grandchildren.

James was, above all, a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife, Carol; their sons, James and Jon (Karrianne); and their daughter, Niki. He was a proud grandfather to his cherished grandchildren, Amaya, Jayce, Havenn, Aspenn, and Evelynn, who brought endless joy and laughter into his life. Additionally, James is survived by his sisters, Deb, Jamie, and Teresa (Mike), and his brother, Leroy, who treasured his companionship and support. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim and Norma Seaton and his son-in-law Mike Serumgard.
