Celebrating the unforgettable life, legacy and spirit of Irene Dizadare, a shining light that was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on January 17, 2026, at the age of 74.
Irene was born on February 2, 1951, in Parkdale, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Percy Lee and Ardella (Idella) Johnson.Irene’s life journey was marked by her unwavering resilience and determination. She attended Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming and later married Louis Moody, with whom she had a son Duane. After her divorce she returned to Cheyenne, where she later met and married Paul R. Dizadare, with whom she had three more children: Tyrone, Anthony and Antoinette. Irene's adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively throughout the United States and Europe with her husband, who served in the military. They eventually settled at Altus Air Force Base In Oklahoma.Irene’s professional life was marked by her dedication and hard work. She worked as a store manager at Braum’s Dairy Store in Altus before transferring to Walmart where she worked as a sales associate for 15 years. Despite her brave battle with double breast cancer, and other health issues, Irene remained steadfast in her faith and determination. Irene’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she accepted Christ at an early age while living in Cheyenne. She later reconnected with her church family before her transition. Irene's legacy is a testament to her unwavering spirit and her ability to touch lives of those around her. Irene is reunited with those who preceded her in death: parents Percy and Ardella, and her two sisters Jessie M. Jones and Sandra E. Ledbetter. She is survived by her children Duane, Tyrone, Anthony and Antoinette; her brothers Percy L. (Catherine) Johnson, Bill (Stephanie) Johnson, her sisters, Rosie L. (Edston) Forbes, Maria (Wayne) Sherman, Barbara A. Johnson and Diana Sims, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, extended family and friends who will deeply miss her presence. Although Irene may be gone, her memory, spirit and legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 29th, from 10-4:00 p.m. at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel. Funeral Services will be Friday, January 30th, at 10:00 a.m., which will also take place at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel, with a reception to follow at Allen Chapel's reception hall.
